Beau Guthrie

VP Culinary Services

Chef Beau originally started working with HB in both an R&D and Sales capacity. During that time he gained an in depth understanding of the industry and the science of food. Despite his passion for HB, Beau left to pursue an even greater culinary passion. In 2004, he graduated from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and spent the next five years as a line cook and Chef for fine dining restaurants within the San Francisco area. This experience honed his creativity and ability to create unique food offerings and provided him significant insight into flavor profiles and consumer trends. After learning about the direction and opportunities of the rebranded HB Specialty Foods in 2009, Chef Beau couldn’t resist coming back to become a key part of achieving our vision.

As our Vice President of Culinary Services, Beau oversees the Culinary/Culinology Center and manages the sensory evaluation, trend and new technology impact analysis and food solution innovation efforts. He also serves as the face of HB in culinary presentations. His proven capability in regard to balancing flavors and bringing a unique approach to R&D challenges, provides a positive catalyst in our commitment toward delivering unique solutions.
