Mike graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree before starting his career in the food manufacturing industry as the Southwestern Regional Warehouse and Distribution Manager for RH Corp. Within three years Mike was promoted to Operations Manager at RH to oversee over three food-processing plants and warehouses with 120 employees. Following the acquisition of RH Corp. by Carlin Foods, Mike became the Western Regional Sales Manager for Carlin involving industrial food processing sales in eleven western states. In 1993 Mike saw an opportunity to apply his extensive knowledge and experience of the industry in bringing a new, innovative solution to the market. That year Hydroblend Inc., a dry blending food manufacturer with 3 employees was born. Mike’s passion, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering commitment to quality and responsiveness continue to drive HB Specialty Foods 17 years later.
